Scheduled Messages
Schedule WhatsApp messages (template or freeform) to be sent at a future time. Sendiee handles the queuing and delivery automatically.
How It Works
When you pass a scheduledAt parameter to the send endpoints (/v2.0/whatsapp/send or /v2.0/whatsapp/message), Sendiee creates a MessageSchedule record and queues it for delivery at the specified time.
Timezone Support
Always pass an IANA timezone string with scheduled messages — for example, Asia/Kolkata, America/New_York, or UTC. If omitted, the timezone defaults to UTC.
| Region | IANA Timezone |
|---|---|
| India | Asia/Kolkata |
| US Eastern | America/New_York |
| US Pacific | America/Los_Angeles |
| UK | Europe/London |
| UAE | Asia/Dubai |
| Default | UTC |
Scheduling Constraints
- The scheduled time must be in the future. Sendiee validates this and returns
INVALID_SCHEDULE_TIMEif the time is in the past. - Freeform scheduled messages still respect the 24-hour conversation window at the time of delivery, not at the time of scheduling. If the window expires before delivery, the message will fail.

Cancellation Window
Cancelling a scheduled message is only possible while its status is
scheduled. Once the message is being processed for delivery, cancellation is not possible.
